Rev. Lori Fleming: Hello! I’m Rev. Lori Fleming, the pastoral care minister here at Unity of Phoenix Spiritual Center. This is the closing of our 28th annual World Day of Prayer celebration for 2021.

Churches and centers around the world have been praying with their congregation and congregants for more than 24 hours. In Unity, we use this form of affirmative prayer called “affirmative prayer.” We visualize the good we want to see in our lives, even before it actually happens, calling forth the healing power in our bodies and our minds and our spirits for wholeness. I invite you to deepen your prayer life, and watch how your good comes showering down around you!

And now, will you join me in a time of prayer and meditation?

I invite you to close your outer eyes. Take in a deep cleansing breath and release it slowly, breathing in and relaxing completely. Breathe out and begin to move our awareness into that quiet, calm center. This is the place where we touch the mind of God.

Prayer is our connection to God at the very center of our being: touching our potential; sharing in the co-creative process with Spirit; bringing forth our desires from that great reservoir of Mind; taking place in our innermost being. Prayer synchronizes our minds with the Christ mind. Prayer is affirmative. In its most affirmative truth, it grows in our consciousness, bringing forth powerful, positive, creative outcomes for good in our lives and in the lives of those we love.

The resources of God are inexhaustible. We pray believing that we have already received our heart’s desire. We pray knowing that those we pray for receive health and wholeness. Every thought, conscious or unconscious, is a prayer. We establish now a consciousness that only allows our desires to be manifested. We recognize God working in and through us as we make our lives a constant prayer, always in touch with the Divine.

We become a living prayer that spreads good everywhere with unlimited faith. We trust God’s good now. In prayer we are in perfect communion with God; we become the prayer. We immerse our souls in the Spirit of the Living God. We are one with the Divine. In this oneness, prayers are answered for perfect outcomes. In this space, God’s will becomes manifest in our lives.

We pray knowing that God loves us and has given us the gift of co-creative power. Prayer connects us in consciousness with the loving power of the Universe and brings forth perfect outcomes. God works through us – in us. Our work cannot be done by anyone else; we are the hands of God. We surrender our will to God’s will in the knowledge of God’s love for us, God’s guidance for us. We are one with the flow of all life. There is peace in our hearts. Compassion flows out of our consciousness, touching the lives of those around us.

We now take a few moments as we move more deeply into the silence as we feel God working in us at depth, and our life becomes a living prayer.

SILENCE

Sweet Spirit, we come in gratitude for our faith as we move forward in perfect communion with God. We immerse our souls in the Spirit of the Living God. We are one with the Divine. In this oneness, prayers are answered for perfect outcomes. In this space, God’s will becomes manifest in our lives.

We pray knowing that God loves us and has given us the gift of creative power of the Universe. We create beauty and harmony in our lives. We pray knowing that God is working in our lives. We pray as we work, connecting with Spirit as we go about our daily activities. We make our whole life a living prayer, manifesting God’s will in every part of our lives. We recognize that we are one with the Divine, and all is well. We say thank you, God; thank you, God; thank you, God! And it is so. Amen.

And so this is the closing of our 2021 annual World Day of Prayer. Many thanks to all of those who participated, the many people who prayed. We know now that we can pray without ceasing. No matter what the circumstances, all is well with my soul! Namaste!
