Weddings

Trish Namor and J.R. Rutherford were married on October 10, 2010.

Robin Jones and Greg Verges were married on October 10, 2010.

Memorials

Bobbie Woodward made her transition on July 28, 2010. A service was held in her honor on August 21, 2010.

Richard Gaphardt made his transition on August 4, 2010. A service was held in his honor on September 18, 2010.

Laura Valentine-German made
her transition on October 20, 2010. A service was held in her honor on October 25, 2010.

In the spirit of community, our weekly bulletin displays some of the "Major Milestones" that our congregants are experiencing. The Milestones column will include major life transitions, such as:
• Births • Deaths • Marriages
• Anniversaries • Hospitalizations (and other major health concerns) With the receipt of this information, our congregation can provide congratulations and/or prayer and other support to the individuals passing through these life experiences. Milestones will be printed only at the request of the individual or immediate family. Unity Business Fair

The November 14 Business Fair — organized by Sue Thompson and the Marketing Committee (bottom right corner) — gave business professionals an opportunity to showcase their products and services, and benefit the church, as well! More than 100 vendors displayed their wares to over 1,000 congregants. In combination with the Unity Online Business Directory (available around the clock at www.unityphx.org), the event raised approximately $11,500 for the church.

We are often asked by congregants if there are items that we have a need for, or how they can contribute to Unity of Phoenix in a meaningful way above and beyond their tithing. Our “Unity Wish List” identifies those services and items highest on our list of priorities. A list of current “Wish” items is included below.
