The Unity of Phoenix “Angels in Action”
team provides prayer, meals, and other
assistance for congregants during
challenging or life-changing events, such
as the birth of a baby, death of a family member, or illness.
Team members are currently available to provide the
following services:
- Wellness” phone calls to check in with congregants to make sure that everything is going well and that all of their needs are covered
- Hospital/home visits
- Meals for a short amount of time and
- Transportation to and from church services (when possible)
The team will also hold in prayer everyone to whom service is provided.
If long-term needs are identified above and beyond these services, the team will make recommendations about existing community agencies that may be able to help fulfill those needs.
Assistance from our Angels in Action team can be requested by a congregant in need of assistance, a family member of a congregant, or by our ministers and Prayer Chaplains. All requests and information shared with the team will be held in strict confidence.
