Summary Sheet -
Week 5
Vision
Points:
Do you have a vision for your life? What would you like your life
to look like in
1 year? 2 years? 5 years? Many of us live such busy lives we don’t
take the time to think about what we want for our lives. Sometimes
we do not even realize that God has given us the power to create
our desires. The book of Proverbs reminds us ‘Where these
is no vision, people perish’. This means without a vision
to move toward, our passion, energy, joy, peace and happiness
will perish. Creating a vision is an important and powerful spiritual
practice. Holding a vision for a greater possibility helps us to
draw upon and more fully express our spiritual gifts and our divine
potential.
Where there is no vision the people perish. Where there is a vision
the people
progress and prosper.
Do you have a clear picture of what you would like
to experience in your relationships,
finances, health and career?
Are you willing to take the time to create a vision of the life
you want?
Practice:
- Each night before you sleep spend one minute creating a
vision for each of the
following areas of your life: relationships, finances, health
and career.
- Think of a situation in your life that has not been working.
Use your vision to see a positive outcome and speak ‘life’ into
the dry bones of that situation.
- For all your goals, prayers and desires end them by adding
the statement ‘God
this or something better’. Trust that God will bring forth
the best for you and
everyone involved.
Questions:
- Have you ever used your power of vision
by holding a negative picture about
something? What was the outcome?
- How could you improve the power of vision in the challenging
areas of your
life?
- What would the ideal picture of your life look and feel
like?
- Have you ever received a vision for your life from God?
- What is your vision for Unity of Phoenix?
Affirmation:
As a child of God, I am rightfully entitled to a life of peace,
love, and prosperity. I
co-create my life with God. I use the power of vision to create the
life that I desire,
the life that God has called me to live.
I, _______________, hold a vision for greater possibilities. My vision
opens me, directs me, and empowers me to live life and live it more
abundantly. Amen.
