The basis of all service is truly in serving GOD.
When you give of your time, you are the church. "For
as in one body, we have many members. And all the members do not have the
same function. So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually
members one of the other." (Romans 12:4-5 NRSV)

Many of our ongoing opportunities entail a six-month commitment of two or
more Sunday mornings or services per month. The rewards are incredible,
and your gift of time and service is greatly appreciated.
All areas of our ministry need your help:
Did you know, we need 60 volunteers each Sunday to make our youth ministry programs
run smoothly, safely and with the excellence our families have come to expect? Wow!
We extend love, honor and a HUGE thank you to the amazing volunteers (many of
whom are shown here) who make it all happen.

Have you been looking for a place to volunteer, but can’t find
anything that works with your interests?
If so, let us help
you pinpoint your spiritual gifts. That will help us match you
up with a volunteer position that’s absolutely perfect for YOU.
The first step is signing up for our SPIRITUAL GIFTS
WORKSHOP. This class will awaken you to your God-given gifts
and how to exercise them in your daily life.
You’ll discover which
areas where you are gifted as well as how to recognize the giftedness
of others, how all of our gifts work together, and which areas
of service are most suited to your Gifts.
Let Ken know what project or area of the ministry you are interested in.
Volunteering Has Changed My Life!

I love working with
Unity teens! It provides
such a sense of fulfillment
when one of our teens
says, ‘What you told me really
helped.’ That's why I've been
doing this for over 10 years
now.

I have been a member of Unity of Phoenix about 8 years and have enjoyed volunteering for about as long. Whether it is serving within the church or through the many outreach programs, I love to give my time and talents. When I volunteer and speak words of encouragement and kindness to others, I know I am making a difference, and I become the change I want to see. Through volunteering, I am blessed.

It makes
me feel
good to give,
and I receive
more than I
give. Serving
others takes my
mind off of my
own life, my
worries and
concerns, and
gives me an
opportunity to appreciate and focus on
others. It works!
Helping and serving others allows me
to refocus my life on what is important,
and what is not so important can fall
away. It makes me a better person
because I appreciate others and I appreciate
who I am and why I'm here. I love to
serve, and I eagerly await for Sunday to
come so that I can do it all over again!”
