Busters in right on the malls “District” which has two stages with live music, Mark Zubia- alternative guitarist, playing from 7-9pm on the Fountain Stage and 60 Degrees North playing from 7-10pm on the District Stage. Friday August 13
Come join us for Dinner and the opening day showing of the movie “Eat- Pray- Love” starring Julia Roberts.
We will meet for Happy Hour/Dinner starting at 4:30pm at Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar and then walk next door to Harkins Cina Capri for their early evening showing of EAT- PRAY- LOVE. Buffalo is located at 7000 East Mayo Boulevard, 480-342-9464 (next to Harkins Cina Capri, Hwy 101 and Scottsdale Rd.) Buffalo happy hour specials include $1 off 23 oz drafts, $4 Skye Vodka Drinks, $4 Amigo Margaritas and ½ price appetizers. Saturday August 28th
Tour The New Arizona Sea Life Aquarium at Arizona Mills Mall
There is a lot to see including a shark tunnel.
Please be at the north parking lot of the church at 12:15pm and we will car pool from there at 12:30pm. Also knowing what a wild bunch we are I must ask that you not come in your swim suits as there will be no swimming with the fish (yes even the dolphins). We will have lunch at the food court when we get there and get to the aquarium at 2pm. Our tickets will be waiting at the ticket booth. The price is $9 per ticket a reduced price considering the tickets are usually $15. We need 15 people at least to get the $9 price. So if any of you have a friend you would like to bring along feel free. If you are interested in going or have any questions feel free to contact Stewart Bendit at 602-677-8190.

Flagstaff 11,000ft Adventure to be rescheduled! As everyone knows the event on July 24 was cancelled due to weather concerns. It will be reschedule for a Saturday in Sept. More info to come.

Country Dance Lessons at Roman's County Line
In West Phoenix from 7:00 to 9:00.
Roman's is at 10540 W Indian School Road,
in a small strip mall on the north side of Indian School
and just east of 107th Ave
No cost for the lesson, can purchase refreshments. Learn dances such as the Two-Step, the cha-cha, etc, with different dances taught each week, and with line dances being taught and practiced the last half hour. Partners not required. NEW NEW NEW-Wednesday is Free Pie Night at Village Inn
For some great fellowship with the funniest group around join Unity Singles at the Village Inn Restaurant at 310 East Bell every Wednesday night (around 8pm) following the 7pm Unity of Phoenix church service. Village Inn offers a free slice of pie with any purchase (even a cup of coffee). Just look for the noisiest table.

New Leadership for the Unity Singles Group: The leadership of the group resides with the 4 committee chairs listed below and the Liaison, Julie W. as the communicator between the group and the church leadership.

Hospitality committee members are: Stew (chairperson and singles table organizer), Rick (Hospitality Tent organizer), Linda C. (luncheon organizer)

Fundraising committee members are: Earl (chairperson),

Communications committee members are: Mark E. (chairperson) will produce the newsletter and maintain general communications for the group. Consultants for the newsletter are Julie, Michaeleen, Barbara and Carla.

It was decided that there will be a monthly planning meeting with all chairperson and committee members. The next meeting is Monday, July 12, 6pm in the meeting room at Denny’s I-17 and Dunlap.

The leadership of Unity Singles wants to know what type of activities you would enjoy the most and how we can best serve Unity of Phoenix members who are single.
