We Are Grateful for the Success of Our Fundraising Campaign

When we began our Fundraising Campaign, we made a promise to keep all of you
informed about the progress of our Campaign. As such, it is our responsibility —
and, indeed, our pleasure — to provide you with these periodic progress reports on
the status of our Campaign.

It’s a little hard to believe, but it was just 10 short months ago, in January of this year, that
we began this process. As a spiritual community, we agreed that our top priority was to
pay down the church’s mortgage loans ... and, together, we decided that a Fundraising
Campaign was the best avenue through which to realize this goal. Now it is our great pleasure to express our thanks and gratitude for the tremendous commitment, contributions, and progress that together we are making with that Campaign.

As a quick recap, our congregation has pledged $1.609 million to date (payable over the next 2-1/2 years) toward paying down the church mortgage. A little more than $337,000 of those pledges have been contributed so far through October 2 of this year! We are truly blessed.

We are also are grateful for the many generous individuals who did not make a formal campaign pledge, but who donated more than $161,000 toward our mortgage reduction goal with one-time gifts to the Campaign. With all of these combined, we have received contributions of $498,000 in cash, and we were able to joyously make a $450,000 payment on our outstanding church loan.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make this happen with your loving, considerate support of our Campaign. We continue to be very excited and thankful for the generous support we have received and -- even more importantly -- for the strong sense of community that continues to build as we work together to further secure our wonderful church home. If you have not yet had a chance to participate in our Fundraising Campaign, we invite you to prayerfully consider lending your support to our spiritual community now. Our goal is to raise $2 million over the next three years. You can help us reach that goal with either a one-time contribution or a pledge over a period of time. Every contribution helps!

We have green pledge envelopes in the pocket of the seat in front of you, or at the Reception Desk in our Administration Building. Thank you again for your support of Unity of Phoenix!!!

We are tracking all of your commitments to the Fundraising Campaign with the chart shown here, which will be continuously displayed on our campus (look for it when you attend Sunday morning worship!).

As commitments come in, our hiker will move up the mountain. As individuals begin paying on those commitments, and money comes in, the red arrow designating our debt level will move down.
