We Are Grateful for the Success of Our Fundraising Campaign By Rev. Richard Maraj, Lead Minister and Bruce Mosby, Executive Director reprinted from Upward Venture newsletter November/December 2007 issue. When we began our Fundraising Campaign, we made a promise to keep all of you It’s a little hard to believe, but it was just 10 short months ago, in January of this year, that As a quick recap, our congregation has pledged $1.609 million to date (payable over the next 2-1/2 years) toward paying down the church mortgage. A little more than $337,000 of those pledges have been contributed so far through October 2 of this year! We are truly blessed. We are also are grateful for the many generous individuals who did not make a formal campaign pledge, but who donated more than $161,000 toward our mortgage reduction goal with one-time gifts to the Campaign. With all of these combined, we have received contributions of $498,000 in cash, and we were able to joyously make a $450,000 payment on our outstanding church loan. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this happen with your loving, considerate support of our Campaign. We continue to be very excited and thankful for the generous support we have received and -- even more importantly -- for the strong sense of community that continues to build as we work together to further secure our wonderful church home. Thank you for everything you are and everything you do Campaign Update December 27, 2007
